Paradigm’s Young Adult Program provides a treatment center for young adults dedicated to identifying, understanding and properly treating the core issues that impact young adults and college students today. Rather than merely containing or shaping behaviors, our staff of Mental Health professionals is committed to assisting young adults by addressing the deeper, more difficult issues that impact their lives. These issues range from trauma, grief and school problems to diagnosis such as bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and contemporary challenges such as internet and social media addictions.
Young Adults come to Paradigm from all parts of the United States and abroad. Our treatment center is designed to ensure that every young adult has an opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of treatment, and still obtain college credits, regardless of their geographic location.
Young adults face an adjustment phase when going to college or the work force. They are realizing they have more freedom than usual and must make decisions on their own. This can be tough for adults who are used to a parent helping them. They also put a lot of pressure on themselves to succeed. If they don’t meet their own expectations, they can likely experience a mental health issue. It is important young adults know how to recognize and cope with mental health issues to avoid any type of crisis.
